​Art is the expression of human feelings, thoughts and dreams in a way that affects people by using their creative power with concrete and abstract materials. Fine arts, on the other hand, are the transfer of people's feelings, thoughts and impressions of the outside world through elements such as line, colour, form, sound, word and rhythm, and arouse enthusiasm and admiration in people through activities such as literature, music, painting, sculpture, architecture and theatre. In the most general sense, art is understood as the expression of creativity and imagination.
​As the Faculty of Fine Arts within the body of our young university established in Iğdır, which is located in a fertile geography in terms of art and culture in the easternmost part of our country, we continue our work in line with the above principles in a way to prepare our young people, the future of our country, for their professional lives. As we are a young faculty, we aim to prepare you as contemporary, creative, free individuals who have universal thoughts and values, who will contribute to the culture of the country and the world through art, with the dynamism of our academic staff consisting of experienced young academicians, competent in the professional field and equipped with ethical values.
​Our Faculty, which was established with the aim of educating staff who have the knowledge and equipment to make qualified production by providing education in creative fields such as Painting, Musicology and Traditional Turkish Arts, currently has three main departments. It is the greatest desire of our faculty to raise individuals who have universal thoughts and values, can approach problems analytically, prioritise human and society, design creative and innovative products, apply computer and information technologies to design processes, and have professional responsibility and self-confidence. With the dynamic accumulation of our university, the programmes of our faculty offer the methods and tools to transfer this knowledge and accumulation to practice. In line with this purpose, our strong programmes prepared with competent academic staff, meticulous and up-to-date curriculum await the architect, designer and artist candidates of the future.
